The business at the retail store is not doing so well. Currently, moving from rental per month to doing consignment. Consignment means... do not need to pay the monthly rently but the store will deduct quite a high percentage on the total sales. Overall, doing consignment is still better than paying the monthly rent. Even though on consignment, i'm still able to draw a little contribution margin from it but of course the store draws much more. Main concern for me now is to have the stock cleared and draw back the cost price. The online business is still doing alright. Trying to sell more shoes than tops as the shoes are more sellerable and able to draw a bigger contribution margin. Anyway, this are just like hobbies that become like a part-time job. Most importantly is to enjoy what has been doing, at the same time to earn alittle extra cash for spending.

It rains again... the weather is cooling today and I enjoy November / December of the year! It is the best season of the year to me. Went to class after work wishing how good it is to go home hidding in the cosy bed. Haha.. of course, I went to class. Cheers
A Professor/Doctor from the University of Bradford (UOB) came to our class to give a short talk just now. There is a graduation ceremony for the degree graduates this weekend. He came from UK and is actually marketing to us their degree program. Encouraging us to further the education and continue with UOB. Still consider whether to take up a Business degree from SIM or remain in the current instituting. Time flies.. be finishing the advance dip in June 2010 and it is just a matter of time to give it a thought.

Been feeling "nothing to do" the entire day or maybe there is something but I just feel like slacking at home. Hahaha. Doing nothing much today, just surf the net, listen to music, reading papers and watching movies. What would you do if there's nothing much for you to do at home? Maybe just don't feel like going out today? What would you do @ your home sweet home? Playing games, doing a card for someone, walk your dog(if you have one), jogging, reading, packing your room, cooking some nice food to test out the recipe etc etc. The list goes on! My brother and I has been spending quite alot of time staying home recently, for him besides school and for me besides work, night classes and Church. The new term, this sem has just started, I am still in the "honeymoon" mode or cycle or whatever you call it to be. "Dong".. a reminder for me, pls rememeber to do the financial management homework later. Have class tomorrow night. Hahaha
This week ahead, somehow had a conviction of working harder in the office and working harder for night classes. Been slacking the past few days regardless in the office or attend classes. It's time to gear up the momentum. As now is November 2009, 1 month to beloved December... time flies and of course we need to end the year well and start the brand new year 2010 right! Cheers
Weekends are time where people rest themselves, fellowship with friends and spend time with family members. Especially for busy working people in Singapore, weekend means rest & relax plus a time of luxury! Some working Singaporean are taking up night classes for self developement. The more weekends are important to them. Here, we do things like meeting friends for shopping after a long week of work, meet for meals, catch a midnight movie, chit chat over the coffee table, sing KBox, surf the net, do revision on your part time class, clubbing or go to a quite pub; listen music & chatting with friends, blogging, MSNing, watching drama series, spend time with family members at home, going for early breakfast with family members, walk your dogs and many other things. Singapore is a tiny country and the truth is there are nothing much we could do really. When we have a longer weekends (which means we have an extra day 'off' due to Public Holiday) we will go for a short trip to our nearby countries like Malaysia or Indonesia. Of course, if there's chance for me to travel long distance... with sufficient finances and time, I would like to visit NYC and other parts of the States, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan. Be an eye opener!

In celebration for Christmas every year in Singapore, beautiful decorations will be put up along Orchard Road. Wonderful to see the light up in the evening along the Orchard Road. Besides the beautiful light up, Christmas is a season of shopping, feasting, buying of gifts and as well as a celebration of the year is coming to an end. We be welcoming a brand new 2010 ahead. Christmas is a time of eat, drink and be merry season. You could hear departmental stores playing all kinds of Christmas music, weather in Singapore will be cooler during December, people look so happy buying and giving gifts for their love ones. Appreciating and rewarding one another for a good work done in that year! The year might not be easy, as some of us may have struggled, trip and fall here and there. Yet the feeling of able to endure to the end is worth cheering! Christmas is one of my favourite season of the year. Every year, I am looking towards Christmas time and the counting down events of year end. The thoughts of being able to enjoy the company of family members, friends, colleagues, boyfriend or girlfriend is worth it all. Again, Christmas is more than just eat, drink and be merry... Christmas is all about Jesus Christ. Celebration of the birth of Jesus every year now gives me a hope and regardless of how bad the year may be... Jesus/Christmas respresented hope and new beginning! Like that the Bible says, God is the strength of my heart. In the mist of shopping, laughing, merrying, exchange gifts etc we should not forget the purpose of Christmas. Christmas is all about Jesus Christ! Is with Christ that we are able to have have what we have and to enjoy. One thing I am glad about is to learn to be contented. Nothing has been giving to me unless it is from above. Be blessed!
Today is the first day of the new term after a break of 10 days. The break seems so short and I have not rest enough.. here comes the new term. Hahaha. This new term, I am taking 2 modules 1) Financial Management (the course book is so thick!) 2) Biz Economic
Soon I am going to be back to the working full time in the day, study part time in the night and working for the online things in the midnight mode. Heehee.. just kidding, won't be so hardworking. To stay up so late as now don't think can stay up for too late. Normally, try to do more on the online things during the weekends. Have written the cheque to the marketplace network ... be sending the cheque out tomorrow. Plan to send out today, it is already in the sealed envelopment but couldn't find the 30 cents postage label. The SAM machine can only purchase minimum $2 of postage now. It doesn't allow for just 1 piece of 30 cents label. I only need 30 cents, forget it. Purchase from somewhere else again then. Keep reminding myself not to be too busy for God... have set aside time to read Bible and pray. Find that the more busy a person is.. the more discipline he/she needs inorder to manage time well. This is where priorities come in. Yes, must remember to plan the out reaches for the connect group this friday. We going to have a dinner in town area and after that going for some boardgames session. It is tuesday tomorrow.. no class in the night therefore, it is time to do the planning for the outreach. God is the strength of my heart.
Today Pastor Kong message on the "7 kinds of sufferings" is so close to the heart. More than just receive blessings from God, we must also able to take the sufferings as well. Bad things do happened to good people... that's what Pastor always tell us. We leave in a broken down/fallen world and that's the reality. A friend of mine is touched during the service as well. The presence of God is so strong in the hall and it is not the same as the previous service at JW. The presence of God just fall into the hall and upon His people.
